KINGSFORD – Kingsford freshman Aubrie Moore scored a first-half goal and the Flivvers made it stand up from there as they edged Marquette 1-0 Wednesday at Commemorative Field.

Moore sent a shot that deflected off a Sentinel player and into the Marquette goal for the game- winner.

From there the teams battled to a stalemate.

“It was a hard-fought game,” Kingsford coach Jenette Gunville said.
