Jets split pair with Emeralds
STEPHENSON – Seven first inning runs propelled North Central to an 11-2 victory over Manistique in a varsity baseball Tuesday afternoon in the second game of a doubleheader.
Brooks Castle hit a sacrifice fly, scoring a run. A bases-loaded walk to Austin Faley brought in another run. Beau Maule and Nathan Pipkorn each added RBI singles, and Kaden Malone drilled a two-run double as the Jets sprung out to a 6-2 lead.
Aidyn Burton also drew a bases-loaded walk to stretch the lead to 7-2. Pipkorn took the bump for the Jets, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out four and walking three.
The first game saw Manistique claim an 18-2 decision.
