IRON MOUNTAIN — It’s been an up-and-down season for the Kingsford girls varsity basketball team.

However, there were moments for celebration, and on Sunday, the Flivvers received a little more when the 2024-25 Great Northern U.P. Conference released its awards.

Kingsford had four players named to the various 2024-25 GNC All-Conference teams, with freshman point guard Aubrie Moore taking home All-Conference first team honors.

Senior guard Anna Bortolini was named to the Defensive Team and received Special Mention recognition.

Junior Cassie Olson and sophomore Alyvia Kowalski were named to the Honorable Mention team.

Gladstone was the dominant force in the GNC all season long, and junior Lillie Johnson led the way. As a result, she took home Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors. Braves head coach Andy Cretens was named conference Coach of the Year.
