HARRIS — All season long, the Forest Park boys varsity basketball team has run roughshod through the Skyline Central Conference.
So it only makes sense that when the conference coaches came together on Monday at the Island Resort and Casino in Harris, the Trojans would be well represented in the All-Conference honors.
Sophomore Vic Giuliani led the way all season and his effort was rewarded with the SCC Player of the Year award.
Head coach Jason Price received conference Coach of the Year honors while senior center Matthew Showers was named the SCC Defensive Most Valuable Player. North Central senior Spencer Willa received the individual sportsmanship award.
Forest Park finished with a perfect 9-0 SCC record and took home the SCC-Large School title. North Dickinson took the SCC-Small School crown, finishing 6-3.
Forest Park senior Kevin Giuliani was named to the All-Conference first team alongside Norway senior Cole Baij, North Central senior Lane Gorzinski and North Dickinson junior Spencer Kramer.
Showers landed on the All-Conference second team. He was joined by Norway senior A.J. Gallino as well as two Nordics, junior Ty King and sophomore Trenton Kramer.
The Knights and Jets dominated the honorable mention squad with two selections each. For Norway, seniors Mason Trudeau and Bryce Adams made the list. North Central senior Jordan Walters and sophomore Kaden Malone also made the cut. They were joined by Forest Park sophomore Dax Huuki and North Dickinson junior Brady Jungwirth.
Trudeau made the SCC All-Defensive team. He was joined by Gorzinski, Malone, Spencer Kramer and Knights junior Anthony Pineda.
