MANISTIQUE — As of late, the Iron Mountain girls varsity basketball team has been coming on strong.

The Mountaineers (5-13, 1-9) continued their upward trajectory on Monday as they went into Manistique and dominated the Emeralds (3-12, 0-0), 65-34, for a non-conference win.

Iron Mountain distributed the offensive load in the first quarter. Four players recorded a basket with senior Bella Pickett’s five leading the way. As a result, it took a 16-10 advantage into the second.
