Three LadyCats receive WVCA D5 All-State honors
FLORENCE, Wis. — After falling just short of a Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 5 sectional championship against Newman Catholic, the Florence varsity volleyball team has raked in the postseason honors.
That continued on Friday when the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association released its Division 5 All-State list. LadyCats senior Kamdan Johnson led the way for the team with 378 kills while maintaining a .307 hitting percentage on the season and received WVCA Division 5 All-State First Team honors. Johnson also tallied 190 digs, 37 solo blocks, 40 block assists, 61 aces and 20 assists during the 2024 campaign.
Florence freshman Kelsi Chrisman and senior Audrey Franz were named to the D5 All-State honorable mention team alongside Niagara senior Mallory Sanicki.
Chrisman led the LadyCats with 365 assists while adding 108 kills, 71 aces, eight solo blocks and 13 block assists.
Franz, who transferred from Forest Park prior to the season, led Florence with 104 aces and 266 digs.
She also tallied 19 kills, 44 assists, and 32 service receptions.
