MARQUETTE — All season long, the Kingsford and Forest Park varsity volleyball teams were a problem for anyone they faced.

On Tuesday, their hard work was recognized as multiple Flivvers and Lady Trojans received All-U.P. honors from the Upper Peninsula Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association.

Kingsford senior Maddy Kreider took home Division 1-3 Defensive Player of the Year honors while Flivvers’ head coach Jaclynn Kreider was named Division 1-3 Coach of the Year.

In Division 4, Forest Park junior Ava Fischer received the Offensive Player of the Year award.

Maddy Kreider was also named to the All-U.P. Dream Team alongside fellow Kingsford senior Ellery Nash.

Fischer and Forest Park junior Elsie Williams were also named to the Dream Team.

Kingsford senior Alyssa Larson was named to the Division 1-3 All-U.P. First team as were Iron Mountain senior Macy Linsenbigler and West Iron County freshman Bristol Shamion.

In Division 4, North Dickinson junior Raina Ledzian took home All-U.P. First Team honors along with Forest Park’s Ellie Ayers and Vienna Price.

Kingsford senior Anna Bortolini was named to the Division 1-3 All-U.P. Special Mention team alongside Iron Mountain’s Gerilis Sampoll-Torres, and Flivvers’ senior Kailey Sundquist.

North Dickinson junior Aubrey Applekamp was named to the Division 4 Special Mention squad. She was joined by Forest Park sophomore Tessa Bartozek and North Central senior Haylee Gatien.
