From Richard and Edward Mierzejewski, Niagara, Wis.:
We can’t thank everyone enough for helping us pick up the pieces from our horrific house fire on Jan. 22 in Niagara, Wis. Even though we lost everything, we’re grateful for the support of the community, surrounding areas and outside help. Officer Rhianna Carne and Chief Mike Chapman, who called to inform us about the fire. Also, any other officers/firefighters. To the person(s) who called the fire in. Niagara’s fire crew, bless them, for keeping going when the hoses were freezing up. The fundraisers, donations and calls from well-wishers helped us keep our morale up. Butch and Tink Rugg for the rental, which now is our new home. Stacey and Bill Black, owners of Split Enz; Classic Construction; and Uptown Lanes for being drop-off points for donations. The Niagara Lions Club, Norway Dairy Queen, the neighbors up on Forest Street, our family — bless you all. St. Vincent de Paul, Red Cross, the VA in Iron Mountain, Mr. Mom’s in Norway, the Salvation Army, well-wishers on Facebook, Ryan and Amber Dwight for setting up an account for GoFundMe, all Forward Financial Credit Unions. Niagara Animal Hospital for Roxie, who suffered inhalation and burns, who is doing well. Last, but not least, all who donated.
God bless! Thank you for helping us get back on our feet.
