Mail delivery workers are much appreciated

From Mike and Chris Hamlin, Norway:

“Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds” is a phrase long associated with the American postal worker. Though not an official creed or motto of the United States Postal Service, the Postal Service does acknowledge it as an informal motto along with a slightly revised version of Charles W. Eliot’s poem “The Letter.”

We would definitely like to thank the United States postal workers who are working to get us our daily mail. This is not an easy job or one that, in these times, many people want.

When we moved into our home we got our mail before nine in the morning. Now because of whatever is going on with the system we get our mail in the dark of night.

I can’t imagine being out in the dark delivering mail to homes that don’t have lights on or have not shoveled their walkways to guide these USPS workers.

Please, think of these folks who are working as fast as they can. Shovel your walkway to your mailbox. Turn on your lights to guide these folks to your mailbox. A fall of these diligent folks would slow down the mail even more.

Thank you, mail delivery people, for all your dedication to the United States Postal Service.

You are appreciated.
