Responding to ‘Jim Crow’ letter
The letter titled “Is Jim Crow coming back in America,” printed in The Daily News on Thursday, begins with “Is the country recessing to the era of Jim Crow?” I think the writer was trying to say regressing, but I digress.
The next whole paragraph stammers on about some irrelevant, long-gone era in which the Democrats were treating the black citizens of the deep south like animals and trying to say that’s the way it is now, under the current administration. I would agree with that if the writer was referring to the Biden Administration’s time in the White House. Especially the part about “tolerance of corruption and intimidation by law enforcement agencies and the courts.” You would have to be from another planet if you didn’t know the Biden Administration used the FBI and the courts to try to take down President Donald Trump for the past eight years because they knew he would expose their evil deeds if he was reelected.
A little further down the column, the writer refers to “the rule of law.” Just so you know, the Executive Branch does and always did have the power to execute the laws on the books, handed down by the Legislative Branch, and to administer the law. In other words, law enforcement is the president’s job, by and through all the agencies available to him –even though Joe Biden chose to ignore the rule of law when he allowed the illegal invasion of our country at the borders.
Lastly, the final paragraph (typo ignored) says we need to change the course of our nation. I couldn’t agree more. That is the reason why most sensible Americans voted for Donald Trump.
