UPPER PINE CREEK — Rick J. Gendron, 74, of Upper Pine Creek, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.

He was born May 21, 1950, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Frank and Dean Doris (Hewitt) Gendron.

Rick graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1968 and went on to attend Northern Michigan University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial arts.

He worked for the Norway Police Department and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department for several years before starting a trucking company that he owned and operated for 10 years. He then worked as the general manager at A-1 Sport & Marine until his retirement.

Rick was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and cutting wood. He also enjoyed spending time at his camp in Foster City.

Rick is survived by two sons, Jason (Sarah) Gendron and Jared (Kristen) Gendron; their mother, Linda Gendron; three grandchildren, Gage, Owen and Parker; a brother, Dr. Toby (Karen) Gendron; a sister, Patricia (Jerry) Ayotte; a sister-in-law, Gail Beauchamp; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Terry Gendron.

Private graveside services will be held at Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
