IRON MOUNTAIN — Joseph Dana “Joe” Testolin, 75, of Iron Mountain, passed away at home on April 9, 2025.

He was born in Dickinson County on Dec. 13, 1949, to John B. and Gladys (Leonard) Testolin. He graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1968. He was a Realtor for over 30 years. He was passionate about CPR and first aid and taught classes for over four decades.

He liked music and played guitar in a band. He liked fast cars and fast boats.

He had a fondness for cooking; Italian food was his favorite. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football. However, his greatest passion was auto racing.

He was a sergeant in the United States Army National Guard and was honorably discharged with over 20 years of service. He then remained a member of the Kingsford National Guard Armory Retiree Club. He was a member of the Maranatha Assembly of God church. He was a dedicated member in the community and he was involved in many organizations, including The Moose Lodge, The Elks, and the Shriners. He was a Freemason for over 20 years and Mason of the Year 2021. He was a founding member of the Americans for Constitutional Enforcement. As well as being involved in the Dickinson County Racing Association.

For over 50 years Joe could be found working on Friday evenings at the Norway Speedway track. He was inducted into the Speedway Hall of Fame in 2017 and in 2023 he was honored with becoming “Ambassador of the Speedway.”

He will be missed by many.

Joe is survived by son, Joseph R. Testolin (Melissa); grandchildren Dominik (Emily) Testolin, Caitlynn Testolin, and Benjamin; great-grandchildren Alyanna and Arthur; brother, John R. Testolin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Gladys; as well as his brother, Theodore Testolin.
