Carol Rabideau

KINGSFORD — Carol Ann Rabideau, 73, of Kingsford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born March 13, 1952, in Norway, Carol was the daughter of the late Arnold and Bernadette (Knutson) Paque. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1970 and went on to have a fulfilling career in sales and marketing, working with both radio and television — most notably WYKX 104.7 and TV-6.

Carol married the love of her life, Stephen Rabideau, on Aug. 19, 1995, in Kingsford. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and creativity. Carol had an extraordinary eye for design and was a true artist at heart. Her talent for crafting beautiful floral arrangements and transforming spaces reflected her vibrant personality and impeccable taste.

Carol was a people person in every sense of the word. Her warm, engaging presence made everyone feel welcome, and her genuine interest in others forged countless meaningful connections. Whether sharing stories over dinner or organizing family gatherings, she brought people together with ease and joy.

Above all, Carol cherished her family. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Her home was always filled with love, conversation, and laughter. She had a gift for making the ordinary feel special and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Steve; her children, David (Michelle) Lee of Mauston, Wis., Emmy (Mike) Setzer of Kingsford, and Jason (Jeanette) Rabideau of Yorktown, Va.; her brother, Robert (Jeannie) Paque; her grandchildren, Laura, Gabrielle and Evan Lee, Jamie (Aaron) Skrube, Alycia (Josh) Jensenius, Aaron, Anna and Ayrika Hank, Alek Setzer, and Zoey and Abby Rabideau; and her great-grandchildren, Mya, Kevin, Jonah, Danica and Evelyn. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Stephen Lee; her sister, Jeanne Kujala; her brother, Jack Paque; and her grandson, Ryan Lee.

Carol’s legacy of kindness, creativity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain, followed by a 1 p.m. service. Msgr. Joseph Gouin will officiate. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
