Jennifer L. Waisanen

Jenn was born July 14, 1993, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of Christine (Sheldon) Watts and James Waisanen. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 2012 and was a lifelong resident of the area. Jenn was a talented artist and loved to draw and sketch. She enjoyed playing her guitar, playing cards, sitting outside on the front porch and going to play bingo on Wednesday’s with her mom. Most of all, she loved spending time with her daughter, Melody.

Jenn is survived by her daughter, Melody Watts of Kingsford; her mother, Chris (Jack) Watts of Kingsford; her father, Jim Waisanen (Christine Ryan) of Iron Mountain; a brother, Tyler Waisanen of Kingsford; her maternal grandmother, Patricia Sheldon (Dennis Coron), and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ken and Maxine Waisanen; her maternal grandfather, Don Sheldon; and an uncle, Bill Waisanen.

A Memorial Mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 7 at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Monsignor Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
