HERMANSVILLE — Robert “Bob” L. Arnold, 82, of Hermansville, passed away peacefully at his home on the evening of Thursday Feb. 6, 2025, surrounded by family.

Robert was born on Aug. 31, 1942, son of Ida (Poquette) and William Arnold Sr., in Hermansville where he lived his entire life. He was a woodsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being at camp. He was a wonderful storyteller with a great sense of humor. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone.

Robert married June Ball on Christmas Eve in 1960. They shared 54 years together before her passing on New Year’s Day in 2015.

He is survived by children, Jeff Lacosse, Don (Patti) Arnold, Ron (Cindy) Arnold, Melanie Lacosse, Larry (Marge) Lacosse and their family, Mae (Dave) Joerndt and their family. He was a proud grandfather to grandchildren, Ananda Voecks, Elliot Voecks, Amber (Joe) Kutches, Annette (Jason) Krueger, Don (Liane) Arnold, Kevin Arnold, Dakota, and great-grandchildren, Scott, JT, Olivia, Mikah, Zoe, Jayden, and Karter. Surviving siblings include, Joan Daniels, Sharon Aman, Edward Arnold; sister-in-law Dorothy Arnold and brother-in-law, Tony Larsen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who were very dear to him. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Robert is further survived by his loving friend, Ruth Schoen and her family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughter, Annette Arnold; sons, Jon and Wayne Lacosse; son-in-law, Guy Morris; and many siblings.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at the Hermansville Sportsman’s Club on Friday, March 7, at 4 until 8 p.m. Friends and family are invited to gather and share their memories and stories of a man who touched so many lives.
