JoAnne Rohde
1935-2025
SAGINAW, Mich. — JoAnne Rohde, 89, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025.
She was born Oct. 9, 1935, in Norway to Clarence Carlson and Edith (DeBernardi) Carlson.
She is survived by daughters Mary Jo (Peter) Malaney and Tracey (Chris) Nunez; as well as stepchildren Jim (JerriLynn) Rohde, Patty (Bob) Dubay and John (Brenna) Rohde; grandchildren Anne, Mara, Abbey, Mallory, Andrew, Laura, Bethaney, Sam and Anna; great-grandchildren Claire, Henry, Addison, Asher, Avery, Brynn, Cameron, Charlie, Will, Valarie, Zachary and Claire; stepgrandchildren Alex, Jacob, Morgan, Justin, Rebekah, Megan and Joshua; and stepgreat-grandchildren Nevaeh, NovaLee, Navy and Palmer; nephews Dale Larsen, Tony Larsen and Larry Larsen; nieces Patti Olsen, Paula Eli, Cindy Bustic; and special great-nephews Cy, Jack and Sid Olson.
Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, especially the Tuesday Lunch Bunch, also survive.
In addition to her parents and grandparents, JoAnne was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; her wonderful sister, Marianne; her sons, Mark and Kim; stepmother Leona Carlson; brothers-in-law Bruce Larsen and LeRoy Mattson; and nephew David Larsen.
Joanne worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years, retiring in 2000. Her hobbies included reading, yard work, and crossword puzzles. She was a fan of the MSU Spartans, the Detroit Lions and Tigers.
Private services will be held.
