Diana Mullen Richter
ST. PAUL, Minn. — Diana Mullen Richter of St Paul, Minn., passed away peacefully on Tuesday Dec. 24, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family and her husband of 62 years by her side.
Diana was born on Sept. 22, 1942, in Marinette Wis. to the late Clayton and Eunice (Larson) Mullen. She married Alan Richter on Aug. 18, 1962, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo Wis.
Diana is survived by her husband Alan Richter and sons, Abe (Lisa) Richter of Peshtigo, Ben (Brenda Halverson) Richter of St Paul and daughter, Andrea (Rod Smith) Richter of St Paul. Three grandchildren Seth, Sophie and Eli all of St Paul.
Though Di had traveled to all 50 states and 15 different countries, what she preferred was being a mother and working with her family, painting, farming, remodeling or just listening and talking to them–that was the life she loved.
The following is from the last page of a short autobiography written by Di soon after she was diagnosed with dementia “From the lyrics of an old Frank Sinatra song…and now the end is near, I have had pretty much everything I wanted out of life and more than I ever expected but the best of it was being a stay-at-home mom with my children. Looking back from my 70’s, life has been good, and I pretty much had it my way. Thank you for being a part of it.”
A private service and internment will be scheduled at a later date.
