Christopher Durocher
IRON MOUNTAIN — Christopher Durocher, 39, of Iron Mountain, passed away at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich., as the result of an accident which occurred on Jan. 12, 2025.
Christopher was born in Denver on Dec. 2, 1985, and moved to Kingsford with his family in November of 1986. He attended Kingsford High School, graduating with the class of 2004, and received his bachelor of arts degree in English with a minor in history, from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanne Durocher; father, Jalaladdin (Jay) Saghatchi; stepmother, Leila Shabany; twin brother, Jason Durocher; and half-sisters, Sogol and Sanay Saghatchi. Two people who were very special to Christopher are his significant other, Regina Stock, and honorary niece, Serenity DiFiori. Friends include Steven and Alicia Wagner, Jesse DeFiori and Sakita Florek.
A memorial service will be held at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m.
His memory will be cherished by all who were honored to have him in their lives.
