Rose Remondini
1927-2025
CASPIAN — Rose Remondini, 97, of Caspian, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.
Rose was born on June 27, 1927, in Crystal Falls, the daughter of the late Anton and Matilda (Strand) Eccel and was a lifelong resident of the area. She attended the Crystal Falls schools, graduating with the Class of 1945.
She married Ernest Remondini on June 16, 1951, at the Guardian Angel Church of Crystal Falls. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in 2009, before Ernest preceded her in death on May 12, 2010.
Rose was employed as an office manager for J.C. Penney Company for 34 years. She was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, St. Ann’s Society, the Rosary Sodality, and Trentino-Tyrolean Club of Iron Mountain.
Rose is survived by her children, Mary (James) Butorac of Ishpeming, Christine (Kenneth) Huven of Caspian, and Ernest (Renee) Remondini of Green Bay, Wis.; grandchildren, Tyson (Lindsey) Butorac, Andrea (Greg) Wright, Alexandra and Angelina Remondini; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Eriana Sucholl, Jaxson Wright, and Amelia and Mitchell Butorac; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Eccel and sister, Theresa Wiedrich.
A visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 27, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Fosu to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River, in the spring.
