Leonard R. Lindholm Jr.
KINGSFORD — Leonard R. Lindholm Jr., 87, of Kingsford, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, at the Marshfield Medical Center – Dickinson.
Len was born Oct. 26, 1937, in Niagara, Wis., son of the late Leonard Sr. and Ellen (Leonard) Lindholm. He graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1955 and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Len started his career in auto body repair while in high school and worked for area body shops after graduation. In 1976, he started Len’s Auto Body, which he owned and operated for nearly 40 years, retiring in 2014.
Len married Robin Chartier on June 30, 1985, in Iron Mountain. She preceded him in death in 2016. He was a member of U.P. Whitetails and the Beagle Club. Len was an avid hunter and loved spending time at camp.
Len is survived by a son, Brian (Sandy) Lindholm of Iron Mountain; three daughters, Jamie (Adam) Janssen, Anna Vicenzi (Kenny Bednarz), and Jody Dickerson; a brother, Neil (Terri) Lindholm; grandchildren, Kristi Nelson (Nate Flemming), Ryan (Jen) Nelson, Brandon Lindholm, Peyton Lindholm, Bailey (Jacob) Cousineau, Reagan (Teagan) Erickson, Jack (Lydia) AngleLundholm, Zachary, Jaden, Adrian, Bella and Charleigh, and Devon BS Gavin Dickerson; two great-grandchildren, Lucas Perry and Brynlee Erickson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Len was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Nelson; a sister, Joan Snowdon; and two brothers, Robert Lindholm Sr. and Roger Lindholm.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
