IRON MOUNTAIN — Gloria Beauchamp Gendron, 99, of Upper Pine Creek, Iron Mountain, was called home on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, from Optalis Health & Rehab of Kingsford.

She was born in Iron Mountain on Nov. 25, 1925, daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Yuhassey) Formolo. Gloria was a graduate of Iron Mountain High School. In 1944 Gloria married Merle Beauchamp; he preceded her in death in 1962. In 1964 she married Frank Gendron; he died in 2003.

Gloria was devoted to her faith, family and community. She was a long-time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Gloria volunteered at the VA for over 30 years after they cared for Merle. She was also a talented woodworker, hunter, gardener, quilter, and cook. At the age of 80, Gloria had the opportunity to go on a non guided deer hunting trip to Canada with her daughter Linda and was successful in bagging her buck. She will be remembered for putting 100% into everything she did and her delicious pasties.

Gloria is survived by her two daughters, Gail Beauchamp and Linda Gendron (Rick Gendron); three grandchildren, Jason (Sarah) Gendron, Jared (Kristen) Gendron, and Jamie (Skyler) Phillips; many great-grandchildren; and one niece, Carol Curtis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Private graveside services will be held at Iron Mountain Cemetery Park with Fr. Michael Chenier officiating.

The family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Parkinson’s Foundation in her memory.
