CLAYTON, Calif. — Jerry F. Waitrovich, 88, of Clayton, Calif., passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at the John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, Calif.

Jerry was born Aug. 20, 1936, in Niagara, Wis., son of the late Edward and Florence (Kadulski) Waitrovich. He graduated from Niagara High School in 1954 and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin – Madison, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.

Jerry married Barbara Andrieni on July 5, 1958, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. He worked for many years as a general manager for various building material companies across the United States. Jerry loved sports and helping youth. He was a Little League coach, manager and umpire as well as being involved with Boy Scouts of America for several years. He enjoyed playing cards and bridge was his passion. He was proud to achieve the rank of “Life Master” through the American Contract Bridge League.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara; a son, David (Maria) Waitrovich of Alamo, Calif.; a brother, Terry (Mary Fran ) Waitrovich of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Peggy (Tom) Fahl of Brookfield, Wis.; a brother-in-law, Kent Gregorius; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Tillotson; and a sister, Susan Gregorius.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19 at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Fr. Michael Chenier will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place at Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
