Edward M. Plemel
1963-2024
PEMBINE, Wis. — Edward M. Plemel, 61, of Pembine, Wis. passed away unexpectedly from a medical condition on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024.
Ed was born on Jan. 20, 1963 to the late Edward Plemel and Patricia (Schaffer) Plemel. He graduated from Pembine High School in 1981.
Ed had such a kind heart and would be there for you whenever you needed him. He loved going fishing and hunting with family and friends, which included an annual excursion to Canada and Ohio.
He was a hard worker and was looking forward to retiring from Billerud within the next year. If Ed wasn’t at work or spending time with family and friends, you could find him cutting hay or taking care of his cattle. He also loved spending time with his precious cat, Maggie.
Ed is survived by his mom, Patricia Plemel (Robert Leanna); son, Jason (Emily) Plemel; grandchildren, Mason and Hallie Plemel; brother Arthur (Heather) Plemel; nieces, Pamela (Douglas) Wiegel, Alyssa (Ethan) Blagec, great nephews, Berkley and Boone Wiegel, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was especially close with his Aunt Carol, Uncle Bob and cousin Tom Barker.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edward Plemel and a grandmother that he held very close to his heart, Dorothy Kent. He was also preceded in death by his other grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ed will be dearly missed by all that knew him. We all loved him very much!
Visitation will be on Monday Dec. 9, at Grace Lutheran Church in Pembine from 9:30 a.m. until the time of his Memorial Service at 11a.m. Pastor DJ Rasner is officiating. Burial will be in Pembine Cemetery this spring.
