NIAGARA, Wis. — Dolores A. Lesperance, 92, of Niagara, Wis., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson in Iron Mountain, Mich.

She was born on March 9, 1932, in Marinette, Wis., to the late James and Florence (Kingston) Sanborn.

She was a graduate of Marinette High School, class of 1950.

She married Robert Lesperance on Aug. 19, 1950, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Walsh, Wis. After marriage, she and Robert lived their entire married life in Niagara. Robert preceded her death on Feb. 2, 1995.

She enjoyed oil painting, crafts, volunteering at Maryhill Manor, and traveling. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara.

She is survived by her son, Jay (Laura) Lesperance; daughters, Jill (George Barkho) Lesperance, and Joy (Brian) Benner; brothers, Lee (Judy) Sanborn, and Todd (Dawn) Sanborn; sister, Marilyn (Art) Hebert; sister-in-law, Sue Sanborn; grandchildren, Rebecca (Travis Reddick) Showinsky, Beth (Brad) Champagne, LeAnn (Rob Werner) Lessor, Brooke (Robert McCracken) Lesperance, and Kyle Lesperance; and great-grandchildren, Cole Lanthier, Kaya Champagne, and Jace Champagne.

In addition to her parents and husband of 44 years, she was preceded in death by her son, Joe Hope; daughter, Jami Marie; and brother, Dale Sanborn.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 11, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Felix Abano, Jr., officiating.

Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
