Lucille Swanson

Lucille was born in Negaunee, on Feb. 24, 1931, to William E. and Laimi E. (Larson) Turri. She graduated from Graveraet High School in 1949 and continued still to have lunch occasionally with some classmates.

On Aug. 30, 1958, she was united in marriage to Benjamin C. Swanson, and they had two children, Jane Elizabeth and Benjamin Charles, Jr. In her leisure, Lucille, enjoyed shopping, planting flowers, sewing, and was an excellent and talented baker and cook. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Jane (Charles) Vercoe of Kingsford; grandson, Benjamin; sister-in-law, Gretchen Turri; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benjamin; her son, Benjamin Jr; brother, Richard Turri; an infant brother, Robert; and by brother-in-law and wife, Ralph and Harriet Swanson.

Private funeral services will be held with interment in the Park Cemetery.
