Geraldine I. Branback

IRON MOUNTAIN — Geraldine I. “Gerri” (Gramm) Branback, 92, of Iron Mountain, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Michael Boskovitch, her fiance of 17 years, also by her side, was a testament of the love, care, and devotion they shared.

Gerri was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, George Branback, a devoted husband, dad and grandfather.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Gayle Waldeck.

As a devoted mom, Gerri lives on through her four children, David (Elaine) Branback, Vicky (John) Wheeler, Kathy (Bob, Jr.) Coughlin and Darlene (Dan) Johnson. She also cherished special times spent with her 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Gerri and George spent countless winters in Florida. She was always very competitive and enjoyed the challenge of the win, playing cards, shuffleboard, slot machines, bingo, and she was an avid bowler back in the day. Gerri was also a great cook, always trying to improve on her homemade spaghetti sauce.

Gerri was fortunate to meet her second love, Michael Boskovitch. Together they shared a wonderful and fun life of dancing and activities at the clubhouse in Wildwood, Fla. Frequently they attended outdoor concerts in Brownwood in The Villages to listen to Rocky and the Rollers and Elvis Presley impersonators in Las Vegas and Biloxi, Miss.

Gerri was a positive person who really enjoyed her beautiful life and cherished family. Her saying was, “Even when we are not together, you are always with me, and I am always with you.”

The family enjoyed a warm gathering, sharing memories and grief, just as she had hoped for.
