Tammy Smoot

KINGSFORD — Tammy Lynne Smoot, 64, of Kingsford passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, at her home.
Tammy was born on Aug. 10, 1960, in DeKalb, Ill., the daughter of Nanette (Smith) Cram and the late Harry Cram.
After graduating from Iron Mountain High School in 1978, she attended Northern Michigan University where she obtained her degree as a licensed practical nurse.
Tammy worked as an LPN in the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital Emergency Room for several years prior to taking a position as office manager for Dr. Carl Smoot.
She and Carl were united in marriage on May 9, 1997. Tammy attended Sunday services at Redemption Hill. She enjoyed fishing, traveling and watching old TV shows.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; two daughters, Stephanie (Adam) Erickson and Elizabeth (Stephen) Bolt; two sons, Dr. Will (Stephanie) Smoot and Dr. Paul (Ashley) Smoot; a brother, Dan (Kelly) Cram; two sisters, Rebecca (Ron) Dileo and Nan (Bob) Trecartin of Quinnesec; grandchildren, Maya Erickson, Charlie, Ava, Aria, and Maggie Smoot, Scarlet Smoot, and Cooper and Parker Bolt; and several nieces and nephews.
Tammy was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie; and a daughter-in-law, Samantha Smoot.
Private family services will be held.
