Judith E. Graves

She was born March 12, 1951, in Sheboygan, Wis., daughter of the late Lyle and Jane (Barnard) Butterfield. Judy grew up in Sheboygan Falls, Wis., and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School. Over the years, Judy spent time in Pembine, Wis., and married David Graves on Dec. 8, 1973, in Sheboygan Falls. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1998.

They resided in Zion, Ill., and after David’s passing, Judy moved to Beecher, Wis., where she lived a few years before making Kingsford, her home.

Judy was known for her beautiful flower garden. She was an avid bowler and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Heather Graves of Kingsford and Jennifer Graves of Quinnesec; one son, Christopher Graves of Kingsford; one brother, Gene (Diane) Butterfield of Kingsford; one sister, Lois (Jim) Piper of Wild Rose, Wis.; four grandchildren, Jane, Kimberley, Michelle and Zoey; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, at the Recreation Lanes in Iron Mountain.
