Robert "Bobby" A. Nichols

IRON MOUNTAIN — Robert “Bobby” A. Nichols, 55, of Iron Mountain, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis. He was born on Sept. 7, 1967, in Iron Mountain, and is the son of Robert “Bob” E. Nichols and Betty A. (Miller) Nichols.

Bobby started playing bass guitar and singing at Florence High School. He was involved in choir and was in bands with of his best friends. Bobby was also featured in “Who’s Who” for his singing. He was also active in wrestling, track, and football during high school. After school, he continued playing in one rock-n-roll band, “Flashback,” with Ric Stream, Brad Johnson, and Travis Ritchie. Bobby was in many county bands, with the latest being “City Limits” and “Bad Axe Rodeo.”

Bobby loved gardening, music, fishing, football, cooking, history, deep discussions about anything, and spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor that gave him the ability to make friends wherever he went. Bobby had a plethora of bad “Dad jokes” that he loved sharing along with playing jokes on others.

Bobby is survived by his father, Robert “Bob” E. Nichols, and mother, Betty A. (Miller) Nichols of Iron Mountain; his wife Elisabeth F. (Blahnik) Nichols; his daughter, Kirsten P. Nichols (Joshua Hugo) of Kingsford; son, Brandon J. Nichols of Iron Mountain; son, Quentin S. Nichols of Iron Mountain; son, Connor J. Nichols of Iron Mountain; and many other family and “like family” members.

He is preceded in death by his best friend, Ric Stream of Homestead, Wis.

A Celebration of Life Service was held on June 30, at Iron Mountain City Park. His Facebook page has been memorialized so friends may leave tributes.
