When Richard was a junior in high school, he took over the family farm and worked it his whole life. He was also a logger, a welder at the GAF mine, did flooring and worked for Rudy Olson’s sand and gravel pit. He was well known for his yodeling skills and even cut a record.
Richard married Angela Evenson on Sept. 7, 1991, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Kingsford.
He was a member of the Pulling Together Horse Club and owner of the Bjorkman’s Horse Outings.
Richard was an avid Packer fan, he lived to watch Packer games, enjoyed fishing trips to Canada, trips to Banson, Mo. with his wife Angie, going camping, and he loved his family “like the dickens,” and enjoyed spending time with them, telling stories and giving advice.
