Roy ‘Eric’ Hagglund
CRYSTAL FALLS — Roy “Eric” Hagglund, 70, of Crystal Falls passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022.
Eric was born April 22, 1952, in Crystal Falls, son of the late Roy and Lou Jean (Johnson) Hagglund. He graduated from Crystal Falls High School in 1970 and was a lifelong resident of the area. On June 22, 1974, he married Robin Fabbri in Crystal Falls.
Eric owned and operated Fob’s Restaurant for over 30 years before retiring in 2016. An avid Green Bay Packers fan, Eric enjoyed fishing, going to camp, playing buck board and smear. He was a member of the Crystal Falls Golf Course and enjoyed golfing with friends. His family was his top priority, and he especially loved time spent with his grandchildren.
Eric is survived by his wife of 48 years, Robin; his three children, Jill (Casey) Sundell of Crystal Falls, Jeff (Sarah) Hagglund of Crystal Falls, and Jenny (Glen) Erickson of Green Bay, Wis.; his mother and father-in-law, Faye and Chet Fabbri of Crystal Falls; a brother, Ray (Terri) Hagglund of Crystal Falls; two sisters, Lynn (Mike) Webb and Mary Jean (Turk) Thoreson, both of Crystal Falls; eight grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, Logan, Jace, Adee, Faye, Cayden and Malorie; a bonus granddaughter, Mina; sisters-in law, Tina (Kim) Nylund and Lisa (Jim) Perry; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Eric was preceded in death by an infant sister, Patricia; and a brother-in-law, Jimmy “Fob” Fabbri.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 at the Nash Funeral Home in Crystal Falls. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Cheryle Spicer will officiate.
