Michael S. Timbrook
KINGSFORD — Michael S. Timbrook, 71, of Kingsford, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022, at his home.
He was born Aug. 2, 1951, in Detroit, Mich., son of the late Donald and Nancy (Zemko) Timbrook. Michael grew up in Madison Heights, Mich., and was a graduate of Lamphere High School, class of 1969.
He married Kayanne Carollo on July 1, 2000.
Michael worked as a superintendent for the Dickinson County Road Commission.
Michael lived life to the fullest. Whether he was boating, traveling, or dancing, he simply found joy in living every moment.
Those who knew him best will remember him as being kind to everyone, always making jokes and laughing. His most memorable trait was his distinctive laugh and how contagious it was. An energy like his doesn’t die; it goes on to the next adventure.
Michael had an unyielding capacity for kindness and compassion. Those who were blessed enough to know him could be sure they had a man who would lead with love regardless of circumstances.
Integrity and honesty were the mottos by which Michael lived his life. In his career, he was a fair leader. In his personal life, he was a trusted man. Michael was a gentleman and a gentle man.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kayanne Timbrook; his children, Sarah (Patrick) Nugent, Amy (Eric Liebergen) Davis, Ruth (Chad) Dalebroux, and Adam (Christie) Timbrook; eight grandchildren, Mary, Ian, Colin, Alyssa, Myles, Gavin, Adam and Quinn; four great-grandchildren, Jayden, Sophie, Mason, and Leah; siblings, Donald Timbrook Jr., Bernie (Carol) Timbrook, Paula (Arthur) Maki, Melody LaPointe, Tom (Jenni) Timbrook, Cherie (Greg) Petroff, Annelisa (Steve) Briggs, Kimberly Timbrook, Rachel (Jim) Boethel, and Maran Timbrook; and by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by one brother, Nathanael Timbrook.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at First Presbyterian Church, Kingsford.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Rev. Michael March will officiate.
Burial will take place in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
