KINGSFORD — Douglas “Doug” Lindgren passed away at the age of 67 on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wis. from an incurable heart condition, with his loved ones at his side.

Doug was born to June and Walter Lindgren in Kingsford, and attended Kingsford High School. He was a member of the class of 1973.

After graduation, Doug worked in Colorado and later moved to Green Bay, Wis., working for various construction companies in masonry work. He was a member of the Laborer’s International Union. Doug retired in 2014 and moved back to Kingsford.

Doug is survived by his two sisters, Caroline Anderson of Powers and Glenda Carlson of Dana Point, Calif.; his brother, Dale Lindgren of Foster City, Calif.; four nephews; nine grand-nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Doug was an avid Packer and Badger fan. He devoted much of his time to his special friend Kelly Ann Wolfgram who resides in Green Bay.

He loved the mountains, good food, biking, fishing, picking blueberries, and spending time with his family. Doug was a compassionate person and loved to help others. He was known to give children $1 bills in line at grocery stores to buy candy.

Visitation will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, at the Kingsford Funeral Home at 1000 S. Carpenter in Kingsford with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 a.m. A short graveside service will be held at the Aurora, Wis., cemetery following the funeral service.
