Another round of Easter-related events have been slated in the region for the holiday weekend.

They include:

QUINNESEC

The town of Quinnesec will host its first Easter Egg Hunt event Saturday.

The free event will kick off at 1 p.m. in the Quinnesec Park on Lincoln Avenue.

More than 10,000 eggs have been filled with treats, along with more than 200 eggs that will include a ticket to be exchanged for prizes.

All area children 12 and younger are invited to take part.

Organizers will divide areas of the park into four sections for each age group.

All groups will start at the same time. They ask that everyone stay behind the caution lines and do not touch the eggs until directed.

Kids can collect their prizes immediately after the hunt at the park pavilion.

Each age group has two bikes that will be available for the lucky winners.

“We have been wanting to do something like this and know the kids really look forward to it,” said an event sponsor who wished to remain anonymous.

They remind participants to bring a basket or bag to collect their eggs.

“We are hoping for a great turnout — we really would like to turn it into an annual event,” the donor said.

BEECHER, Wis.

Toddlers through teens up to age 17 are invited to take part in the second-annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday at the Northwoods Sports Recreations and Community Center.

The hunt will begin at 1 p.m. on the facility grounds at N1711 U.S. 141 in Beecher.

This year more than 30,000 eggs have been filled with candy and prizes with the help of the community.

Children will be divided into separate age groups.

There is no entry fee to participate.

Donations and volunteers are appreciated. Anyone interested can contact or drop off donations at the NSRCC during store hours or call 920-393-7944.

Event organizers encouraged area families to bring their kids out for some fun.
