AG has form for reporting Social Security issues

LANSING — Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel on Friday launched a new reporting form designed to collect information from residents experiencing disruptions to their Social Security benefits or services.

The form provides a direct way for Michigan residents to share their experiences and help identify ongoing issues affecting Social Security recipients in Michigan.

The Department of Attorney General may use the information collected for future legal actions but will not share personal identifying information without consent.

Residents experiencing issues with their Social Security payments or services are encouraged to report them using the form on the Department of Attorney General’s website.

Residents who seek assistance with their Social Security claims or benefits should contact their representative in the U.S. House or U.S. senator for assistance, the AG’s office advised. The department is a state agency and is therefore unable to provide assistance for residents seeking help with federal benefits.

Starting at $2.99/week.
