IRON MOUNTAIN — A winter storm warning is in effect for Dickinson and Iron counties from midnight tonight to 6 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service said today.

Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches are possible with winds gusting as high as 40 mph, NWS forecasters said. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

Accuweather, meanwhile, predicted 1 to 3 inches of snow in the Iron Mountain area, from 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
