Niagara Elementary second-grade student Tanner Gagne spent recess on the school playground Thursday making a snow tunnel after the spring storm Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service, Iron Mountain received 6 inches of snow. Totals were higher is some areas to the east and south, with Escanaba receiving more than 10 inches and Crivitz, Wis., 9 inches.
