Celtic music coming to Crystal Theatre

The Knockabouts

CRYSTAL FALLS — Celebrate St. Patrick and the first event in Crystal Theatre’s “Gem of a Season” with The Knockabouts, a Celtic music trio, at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 15.

Based in Marquette, the trio plays traditional, contemporary, and original tunes from around the world. With music running the gamut of emotions, the group has captivated audiences across the U.P. with their unique sound and personalities.

Barb Rhyneer is a professional string instructor and classical violinist when not playing with The Knockabouts. Her husband, Tim DeMarte, dazzles with polyrhythms and standard Celtic stomp on traditional Irish percussion instruments. Dan Truckey also plays rhythm and leads on acoustic guitar and stringed Irish bouzouki.
