Police investigating deaths of man, woman in Little Lake home
LITTLE LAKE — Police are investigating the deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were discovered in a Little Lake home Thursday.
Forsyth Township Police Department officers were dispatched to the home just after noon to perform a well-being check. When officers were unable to make contact with the homeowner, they forced entry into the residence and found the bodies.
One of the deceased individuals appeared to have an apparent stab injury, according to a news release issued by Forsyth Police Chief Brian Kjellin.
The relationship between the man and woman at the time of their deaths is unclear, but they had previously been dating one another, Kjellin said.
Police are not releasing the names of the man and woman until family members have been notified of their deaths.
Based on evidence collected at the home, the incident appears to have been isolated between the two individuals who died, and there is no additional threat to the community.
The Forsyth Township Police Department was assisted by the Michigan State Police Crime Scene Response Team, MSP Eighth District Detective Division, Forsyth Township EMS and Marquette County Central Dispatch.
