IRON MOUNTAIN — The Braumart’s Lynn’s Local Live Series presents Oz, The Band, for a Braumart Benefit Concert starting at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Circa 2012, a mix of the top local established musicians got together to just jam in the basement, with Ryan Doda, guitar, bass, vocals; Ted Wolf, guitar, keys, vocals; Fred Noeske, drums, vocals; Kevin Bellefeuil, bass, guitar, vocals; and Joe Sullivan, guitar, vocals. After a few weeks, word got out and performance offers started coming in, so the guys decided to name the “band” Oz with the thought of having a few performances each summer and maybe a few shows over the winter.

Thirteen years and a few new members later, Oz is still performing about 12 to 15 shows a year with a three-man production crew and a full sound/light show. Changes to the lineup along the way included bringing in Todd Silverstone, drums, vocals; and Dave Carlson, keyboards, vocals; both adding years and years of experience and talent to an already-stacked lineup. With Jesse Kennedy running the P.A., Bubba Malone powering the expansive light show and Damien Maki running the stage, Oz is a fully established professional concert show bringing the best classic rock from the 1970s to the 2000s to venues across the region.

Any given show can feature the best songs from favorite bands such as Aerosmith, Boston, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Toto, Queen, Heart, Def Leppard, Survivor, Rush, Cheap Trick, Kansas, Journey and many more. Oz is a tribute to the best rock people grew up with and still love.

Oz treats every show like a full-blown stadium concert. Their professionalism and overall talent is on display from the opening intro through the last good night with a stage full of the top vocalists and musicians available. From soaring keyboard and guitar solos to heart-stopping drums and a driving bass line all topped off by the best vocals in the region. This is a must-see, must-follow band.

Door prize raffles include a guitar signed by band members and played at this concert, a $250 gift certificate from Ford Airport for a scenic tour plane ride for two, and several other great raffle baskets.

The Braumart welcomes back this outstanding local band. General seating tickets are $10, which also provides one chance at the raffles.

“The Braumart thanks Oz for their generous support of the theatre and encourages all to attend an evening that will rock your socks off,” said Jinx Brew, Braumart director.

Starting at $2.99/week.
