Wausaukee man killed in crash on US 141 near Amberg

MARINETTE, Wis. — A 58-year-old Wausaukee, Wis., man died Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 141 near Highway K in Amberg, said Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller.

Russell L. Reynolds pulled out from a private driveway and into the path of a northbound vehicle, Miller said in a news release. Reynolds, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected during the crash and sustained fatal injuries.

The northbound vehicle was driven by Aiden P. Vanpembrook, 22, of Green Bay, Wis.

Deputies were dispatched at 3:12 p.m. to the collision, which included a report that a person was trapped underneath a vehicle.

Failure to yield the right of way appears to have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation, Miller said in the news release.

Assisting at the crash site were Amberg Fire Department, Wausaukee Fire Department, Wausaukee Rescue and Integrity Paramedics Intercept.
