MARINETTE, Wis. — A man who was killed in a house fire Thursday in Marinette County has been identified by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office as Robert C. Crosslan, 86, of Porterfield.

The fire was reported at 4:21 p.m at W3457 Weidner Road in the town of Porterfield. Crosslan was the only occupant of the home during the fire and was pronounced dead, the sheriff’s office said.

The fire remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office.
