Picucci-White to lead Iron Mountain School Board
IRON MOUNTAIN — Shari Picucci-White was elected president of the Iron Mountain School Board at its reorganization meeting Monday.
Picucci-White got the nod over Lisa Carollo on a 4-3 vote.
The board welcomed four new members: Jim Carollo, Darren Petschar, Juan Saldana and Jennifer Solka.
Ben DeRidder was elected vice president. Petschar will serve as secretary and Solka was elected treasurer, which was Picucci-White’s former position. Lisa Carollo had been secretary.
Committee appointments include:
— Athletic/Student Activities: Lisa Carollo, chair; Picucci-White; and James Carollo.
— Building and Grounds/Technology: DeRidder, chair; Lisa Carollo; and James Carollo.
— Community Schools: James Carollo, chair; and Darren Petschar.
— Curriculum: Lisa Carollo, chair; Picucci-White; and DeRidder.
— Finance: Solka, chair; Lisa Carollo; and Picucci-White.
— Negotiations: Picucci-White, chair; Lisa Carollo; and Petschar.
— Personnel: Lisa Carollo, chair; DeRidder; and Picucci-White;
— Policy: Saldana, chair; Solka; and Petschar.
The district also presented gifts to outgoing board members Eli Ward, Rob Langsford, Lisa Basanese and Geno Basanese, who was unable to attend.
