Iron Area Health Foundation plans wellness challenges, events for 2025
CRYSTAL FALLS — The Iron Area Health Foundation has planned events, speakers, presentations and activities to help enhance total health for those of all ages to kick off the new year in a healthy fashion.
The new healthy living initiative is titled “Iron County — On The Move” for total health. Part of the initiative will be “Wellness Wednesdays,” which will include events on multiple health related topics at Young’s Recreational Complex. Topics will include heart health, nutrition, mental well-being and a mom-and-daughter event addressing female health topics.
The monthly “Iron County — On the Move” initiative challenges are a January, “It’s a New Year, New Start,” physical activity 20 for 20, 20 minutes for 20 days; February, “Love Moving,” 30 for 20; March, “Leprechaun Leap,” 30 for 25; April, “Spring Forward,” 30 for 30; May, “Get ready for summer,” participate in a walk/run/bike/swim non-competitive event on May 4.
There will be prizes for individuals who participate in the “On the Move” challenge and submit their monthly results to the Iron Area Health Foundation.
