Driver killed when car crashes into home in Marinette County
MARINETTE, Wis. — A Marinette man is dead after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a residence in the Town of Porterfield on Thursday night.
Brady T. Walters, 23, was southbound on State Highway 180 about 10:50 p.m. when he went off the road on a curve, entered the ditch and ended up crashing into a house at N5959 State Highway 180, according to a news release from Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller. Walters, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained fatal injuries, Miller said.
Speed and alcohol appear to have been factors in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office, according to the news release.
Assisting Marinette County deputies at the crash were members of the Grover Porterfield Fire Department, Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area EMS and Wisconsin Public Service.
