KINGSFORD — Health occupation and medical terminology students at the Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District Tech Center participated in the Michigan HOSA Regional Leadership Conference in December.

Fifty-nine student members of HOSA competed in a health-related topic of their own interest as an individual or in a group event Dec. 14 at L’anse High School.

Overall they came home with 20 gold medals, five silver medals, five bronze medals and 14 finalists.

Michigan HOSA’s state competition is scheduled for April 17-18 in Traverse City for students who qualified.

All students should be extremely proud of their achievements, as the number of qualified students is an impressive outcome, DIISD stated in a news release, adding thanks to all who participated this year for being an inspiration to future HOSA members.
