IRON MOUNTAIN — Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson will host a free and informative healthcare guidance and learning session regarding diabetes from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Northern Lights YMCA in Iron Mountain.

“Diabetes Awareness and Prevention” will be presented by Cindy Yelich, RN at MMC-D Primary Care. Approximately one in 10 Americans suffers from some form of diabetes. She will share valuable information about the most common types of diabetes, the causes, identifying symptoms, along with treatment and prevention.

This will be an opportunity for individuals to learn and ask questions about important health-related concerned. There will be a new topic and speaker on the third Tuesday of each month.
