nte of Kingsford has been named by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to serve an eight-year term on the Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees.

Fittante is the owner of Fittante and Colenso, CPA, P.C. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and is a certified public accountant. Fittante serves as treasurer of the Dickinson County Industrial Development Corp.

Her term, which is subject to the advice and consent of the Michigan Senate, will begin Jan. 1 and expires Dec. 31, 2032.

Also named by Whitmer to serve an eight-year term was Joy Brown, of Detroit, who is vice president of human resources, organizational effectiveness, and employee experience for Assembly Global.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Eastern Michigan University and a master’s degree in instructional technology from Wayne State University.
