KINGSFORD — The annual Christmas event in Kingsford will be 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Kingsford Armory 401 S. Carpenter Ave.

The tree lighting will take place at the start of the event at 4:30 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be arriving by Kingsford Public Safety fire truck.

They will have a photo booth, gift bags, a craft table and games. They will serve hot chocolate and cookies throughout the event. The Kingsford Music Department and Woodland Elementary students will provide musical entertainment.

The event is sponsored by First National Bank & Trust, Ace Hardware, the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Community Federal Credit Union, CJ Graphics, Grede, Kiwanis Club of Iron Mountain and Kingsford, the Michigan Army National Guard, 100.7 Radio Now and The Daily News.
