Bar fight in Baraga County
THREE LAKES — Three people were arrested for felonious assault after an incident early Sunday at the Bear Paw Inn in Three Lakes, according to the Michigan State Police Calumet Post.
Troopers were called about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on a report that three people had physically assaulted two other individuals. A firearm was also reportedly discharged several times during the altercation, but no one was struck by gunfire.
Troopers and sergeants from the MSP Calumet and MSP Negaunee Posts subsequently located and arrested two males and one female. One of the males resisted arrest and was additionally charged with resisting and obstructing a police officer.
All three were lodged in the Baraga County Jail before being arraigned Monday in the 97th District Court – Baraga. They are:
— Austin Conn, 18, of Ishpeming, was arraigned for assault with a dangerous weapon. Bond was set at $1,000 cash.
— Jeremy Vetter, 24, of Michigamme was arraigned on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and resisting/obstructing a police officer. Bond was set at $5,000 cash.
— Alexis Hernandez, 21, of Michigamme, was arraigned for assault with a dangerous weapon and assault/battery. She was given a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
All three are due back in court Dec. 3.
